Why should I hire an organizer?

We’re all bombarded with responsibilities and demands on our time and space. By hiring an organizer or consultant, you’re hiring a professional who can help you assess your situation, make decisions on how to achieve your desired results and take action on purging, discarding, donating or selling.

how do I get started working with you?

I start each project with a free phone consultation. This is a 15-20 minute phone call so I can get an understanding of your project and goals. I’ll explain my process and approach and we’ll talk specifics about getting started.

what is your rate? .

When we talk about your project we’ll talk specifics for your project. Assessments & in-person consultations start at $75. Organizing sessions are $60/ hour. You can buy packages of hours and save on that hourly rate. Ask me for details when we talk. Scanning or conversion work is billed by number of pieces and quantity of work and start at $0.19/ piece.

What are your hours?

My standard office hours are 9AM-5PM Monday - Friday. I do offer evening and weekend appointments for organizing sessions.

what is your cancellation policy?

Clients can cancel their appointment up to 48 hours before their appointment with no penalty. Appointments cancelled inside of 48 hours will incur a fee equal to 1/2 of the estimate job. I understand emergencies come up and will work with you in those situations but when I schedule your appointment I’m setting aside that time to work with you.

what is your payment policy?

Payment is due at the end of the session. Cash, check or credit card payments are accepted. Package purchases are paid in full in advance. Virtual sessions are paid in advance. Retainer services are billed monthly. Organizing projects done in our office may require deposits or regular bi-monthly billing.

what is your inclement weather policy?

Inclement weather happens on occasion and we all know roads in Central Virginia can be crazy during snow and ice. In general, if the local major schools are closed or delayed, our offices will be closed or delayed and on-site organizing sessions are rescheduled with the client for a mutually agreed upon time. I try and work with the client but I don’t put anyone in danger.

how do I contact you?

The best way to reach me is always email. Often I’m working with a client or their project and I’m focused on that work. Sending me an email is the fastest and easiest way to reach me even if the message is simply please call me as soon as you can.
